The Bremont MBII/TWG (The Watch Gallery): A Quick Overview

The Bremont MBII was designed by Nick and Giles English , the brands founders, to be the “definitive aviation chronometer” and to embody everything that is meant by the phrase “made in Britain.” This limited edition piece created in conjunction with British retailer The Watch Gallery in London was to take that a step further and create a totally one off MBII that would be severely limited in numbers.

This unique collaboration has taken the best the MB ( Martin Baker ) range has to offer, as well as a few surprises, and rolled it in to one watch. The result? The MBII/TWG, limited to 30 pieces worldwide.

The watch itself doesn't look too dissimilar from the standard MBII watch, apart from the fact that the watch has the same yellow seconds hands and internal rotating bezel as the MBI, which you only become eligible to own if you have been (un)lucky enough to have ejected from an aircraft using a Martin Baker ejector seat.

Arguably, the trademark of the MBII/TWG (and indeed all of the Bremont collection) is the Trip-Tick® case construction. This is unique to Bremont and means that the watch case is created of three pieces: the case back, the front of the case (including the crystal) and the central aluminium knurled and coloured barrel. The standard MBII line is available with three colours of barrel: green, orange and anthracite, and the MBI is available with only a red barrel. This limited edition MBII, however, has a midnight blue barrel (the signature colour of The Watch Gallery) which is complemented nicely by the aforementioned yellow accents on the dial.

Where the watch really begins to shine though is when you turn the watch over, exposing the Bremont modified BE-36AE movement. This unique 'open' case back is only found on this edition of the watch and really makes it stand out from the other watches offered in the “Martin Baker” collection. The movement itself is nicely decorated and has a gold coloured skeletised (brass?) “Bremont” decorated rotor, along with Guilloché wave patterns adorning the rest of the movement. Along with these fine details, the addition of blued jewels by the Bremont watch makers is a lovely touch and really makes the movement pleasing to the eye.

Overall, The Watch Gallery limited edition Bremont MBII is a fine watch, and in my opinion, Nick and Giles certainly created something that is certainly worthy of the title the “definitive aviation chronometer.” I, for one, will be buying another Bremont soon, and I think you should too!

Orient M-Force DV01

Un Orient é lendária Pelos seus " Mako ", Relógios Estanques a 200 metros que são os provavelmente mais vendidos Relógios de Mergulho do Mundo - o que não Admira, Quando sabemos que um conjugam fiável movimento Mecánico automático com um preço inferiore a € 200! - E que foram dos primeiros un Serem referenciados aqui no blogue.

O Mako continua a ser um dos Relógios que está na minha lista dei desideri e que, mais dia menos dia, acabarei por adquirir. O movimento usado, o calibro 46943 da própria Oriente, é um movimento Lendário, que já cumpriu mais de 40 anos desde A Sua criação e que Além das funcionalidades BASICAS (horas, minutos, segundos) oferece ainda dia e dati come 3h00.

Contudo, é um movimento que carece das funcionalidades mais sofisticadas que estamos abituati a encontrar em calibri Automaticos modernos, nomeadamente un paragem de segundos (QUANDO SE puxa un Coroa, para facilitar o acerto da Hora) e bis possibilidade de criação manuale da Reserva de marcha. Nesse sentido, é muito semelhante ao movimento usado nos Seiko 5 , Criado cerca de 10 anos ante, e que Consiste igualmente num mecanismo automático simples, mas com diametro e dati.

Mas, para quem procura algo mais, un Oriente tem também um outro relógio de Mergulho, o M-Force . Esta série, além de uma possuir construção mais cuidada fare que o Mako, incluindo Mostrador com vidro de Safira, é baseada em movimentos diferentes. É o Caso do modelo DV01 que hoje Vos trago, COM Caixa e bracelete em titânio e que utiliza o movimento 4075A. Ao contrário fare referido 46943, este calibro Automático oferece dati Apenas (e não dia e dati) 3h00, mas TEM a vantagem de ja Poder receber Corda manuali e ter paragem de segundos.

A caixa, apesar de Manter un Mesma estanquidade de 200 metros, tem uma construção mais sofisticada E E, Além, disso, maior: 47mm 41,5mm contra fanno Mako.

O modelo DV01 Possui Três Variantes :: uma Delas é semelhante à da Imagem mas com uma das Escalas Internas fanno Mostrador em Amarelo; EA Outra é igual, apenas com a Diferença de uma bracelete em borracha.

O preço de Riferimento destes modelos - 880 dólares com bracelete em titânio e $ 750 com bracelete em borracha - E substancialmente mais elevado fare que o dos Mako, mas mesmo assim, parece-me bastante bom Tendo em atenção un maior qualidade fare conjunto. Além disso, procurando bem, é possível encontrá-los em lojas linea por valores bastante inferiores.

Per Ferrì orologi la forma perfetta non è il cerchio ma il rettangolo.
Troviamo nella collezione, delle spigolose figure in tutte le varianti: rettangoli piccoli e grandi, orizzontali
o verticali, con gli angoli smussati. Si comincia dal modello per signora, un Solotempo tutto acciaio con bracciale dotato di chiusura déployante. La cassa è piccola ma preziosa: nei lati minori sono incastonate due file di pietre preziose i cui bagliori si uniscono a quelli del metallo. Il quadrante in madreperla rosa ospita minuscole cifre arabe al 12 e al 6 e indici a bastone orizzontali. Questi ultimi sono disposti su due file parallele e verticali, forse a suggerire un modo diverso di concepire lo scorrere delle ore. Equipaggiato con un movimento al quarzo ETA, il Solotempo con brillanti costa 520 euro.
Il modello Automatico da uomo con cinturino in pelle nera, equipaggiato con un movimento meccanico a carica automatica ETA 2824. Le dimensioni sono sensibilmente più grandi del tutto acciaio con brillanti. Mentre il modello da donna l’automatico ha uno stile da gentleman anglosassone, dall’aspetto dignitoso e importante: su un quadrante argenté o nero interamente lavorato guilloché
sono isposte grandi cifre romane applique. L’indice del III fa posto alla ben visibile finestrella del datario.
Le lancette delle ore e dei minuti, mentre quella dei secondi è agile e sottile. Il fondello trasparente, fissato da quattro viti, permette di osservare il calibro in azione; l’impermeabilit� è garantita fino a 5 atmosfere.
Prezzo al pubblico, 380 euro.
Nel Dual Time il costo è di 68 euro, troviamo il rettangolo in versione bifronte:
la grande cassa a sviluppo orizzontale ospita due movimenti al quarzo indipendenti, ciascuno dotato di corona; la larghezza massima fuori tutto è di 52 millimetri, Le due sezioni non sono perfettamente identiche:
il quadrante di sinistra presenta cifre arabe, quello di destra romane, in entrambi i casi alternate a indici a bastone.
E’ disponibile in vivaci colori intonati con il cinturino in pelle stampa coccodrillo.
Osservando meglio si notano altre differenze, come il logo Ferrì Collection disposto a ore 12 nel quadrante sinistro e al 6 nel destro. Le lancette, a foglia larga in un quadrante, a foglia stretta nell’altro, con zona centrale lavorata, numeri di grandi dimensioni, robusti indici a bastone, colori vivaci come il bianco, il rosso, il blu e l’arancione. vedere di piu repliche orologi e Hermes
